PIŠKOTKI & ZASEBNOST
The unfiltered black thermal mineral water originates at a depth of between 967 and 1,467 metres, where its temperature is around 54°C. It is murky, salty, and smells slightly of petroleum. Because of its specific properties, it is also unique on a global scale, as only rare thermal waters of this type reach such high temperatures at the source. It is precisely because of the heat that it is extremely effective in relieving rheumatic problems, releasing nervous tension, improving blood circulation and treating certain skin conditions. It was declared a natural healing agent back in 1964.
Due to its heat and rich chemical composition, the Moravske Toplice thermal mineral water can alleviate many health problems.
In 1964, the Moravci thermal mineral water was declared a natural healing agent, originating from springs located at depths between 967 and 1,467 metres in the Mura-Zala basin.
The spring of thermal mineral water was accidentally discovered more than 60 years ago during a search for oil in the area. Instead of oil, hot water began flowing from the well. Due to the high concentration of healing ingredients that have a positive effect on health, this water is rightly called black gold. Thermal mineral water has been used for more than 50 years, mainly to treat issues of the musculoskeletal system and rheumatic diseases.
Healing effects
Both filtered and unfiltered Moravci thermal mineral water is beneficial for various health problems, but unfiltered water is significantly more effective.
With a temperature of 37°C, the black thermal mineral water baths are the warmest in Slovenia. The temperature of the thermal mineral water in the filtered water pools ranges from 32 to 34°C. Due to the high temperatures at the source, the Moravci thermal mineral water is unique on a global scale. It is the warmest thermal mineral water in Europe at its source.
Due to its medicinal properties, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia granted the Terme 3000 Spa in Moravske Toplice a concession for implementing health programmes that include the use of this water.
