Moravske Toplice – Murska Sobota – Puconci – Moravske Toplice

The Route of Reformation is part of the European Cultural Route of Reformation (Routes of Reformation – RoR), which combines several routes in Germany, Austria, Poland, Czechia, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland and Slovenia. Points of Reformation are identified along the way, which, especially in Prekmurje, have played an important role in the development of Protestantism, cultural heritage and the local language. Individual points represent sacred structures and landmarks. The proposed route connects Moravske Toplice, where there is an evangelical church in the centre of the town, next to the Prekmurje Reformation Park, and Murska Sobota, where you can see the Martin Luther Evangelical Church. Make sure you take a walk along the tree-lined Trubar avenue to Murska Sobota Castle and the regional museum. Continue your journey to Puconci, where one of the older evangelical churches in Prekmurje and other landmarks are located.

The route is a starting point for exploring and visiting other evangelical cultural monuments in Prekmurje, Križevci, Motvarjevci, Bodonci, Gornji Slaveči, and elsewhere. The route is not difficult, and it runs along local and regional paths; it is intended for lovers of cultural heritage and recreation.
