Martjanci Trail

The trail runs from Moravske Toplice alongside the Čreta forest in the direction of the village of Martjanci. It takes a bike path leading to the Martjanci Sports and Recreation Centre, where you can stop and rest by Zeleni Park and Ribnjek, or get some extra exercise using the fitness equipment there, which is suitable for all generations. You can see the church of St. Martin with its famous murals by Johannes Aquila, and a stork’s nest with a family of storks on the chimney of the neighbouring building. The trail continues along a dirt road, past a forest, between meadows, to the village of Noršinci, and then returns, partly through the village, towards Moravske Toplice, where golf courses and multicoloured fields come into view as you make your way back to the starting point. At the edge of the Čreta forest there is the Fairytale Park, where you can take a walk with the youngest members of your family and enjoy the many educational and fun games on offer, and listen to an audio recording of a fairytale or the adventures of three fairytale characters.

The trail partly follows the Pomurje Hiking Trail, the E7 European long-distance path and the European Route of St. Martin
